No HDMI signal from ASUS P5N-EN-HDMI computer to projector

Hi all,

I'm running XP Pro on a PC with an ASUS P5N-EN-HDMI mobo.
I've been running a VGA cable to my Panasonic projector to watch movies (which works ok), and now I'm trying to use the HDMI signal instead.

It's a brand new HDMI cable and the projector is set on HDMI input.

My question is - do I have to select or change something in XP to enable the HDMI output?

I've looked carefully through the NVidia GeForce 7100 Control Panel but there is no mention of
HDMI.

You mean Display Properties/Settings? My resolution is 1024 x 768 - no mention of the projector there.

And your monitor is connected via DVI? The manual says: "1 x HDMI port & 1 x DVI port (Can not display at the same time) "

No, the monitor is using the VGA port.
