Hi all, my name's Tyson and I'm planning a gaming build for the end of this year, currently I'm saving up, and I'mma be building it as soon as I can. I'm planning on doing as good of a job of it as possible, and I'm going with a black and orange theme. I'm planning on using a 750D (airflow edition) as the case, getting it a few months earlier than the rest of my parts, taking it apart and painting it to suit my theme. I'm also planning on using Thermaltake Riing Orange LED fans, so I don't have to buy case lighting. I'm trying to make it both badass and high end, but not too over the top, having said that, I want to be able to game in 4K with rather high settings on this, playing a variety of games - most of which have explosions (because explosions are fun, but only on a computer.) I would also like to be able to use it for HD and high quality VR (although I'm not sure I'll ever be able to afford a headset, I can dream) I'm planning on having an Acer XB281 4K monitor, as well as an i7 6700K as the processor, (which I'll cool with a H110i GT), however, despite doing my research (to varying degrees of thoroughness in all honesty) I have a handfull of questions, a few I can assume the answer to, but I'll ask anyway. Any help would be greatly appreciated and if people are interested, I'll make a thread later on when I start the build. (I'll also include my (constantly changing) partlist below)

Question 1: Am I better off with 16gb of 3200mhz of ram (4x4gb) or with 32gb of the same speed (4x8gb) keeping in mind that I don't want 16gb extra if I won't be using it anytime soon. ANSWERED: Thank-You Blastoise24! :)

Question 2: I'm looking for the fastest M.2. SSD I can buy for under $300 (256gb or similar, as I know they can vary in that department) would I be correct in saying a Samsung 950 Pro is my best option?

Question 3: Graphics Cards. Will I be better off buying 2 980 Xtreme Gaming graphics cards in SLI OR 2 980ti Xtreme Gaming cards, as I know the 980's actually have a faster base clock than the 980ti's (yes, they are around the right way) (Thank-You Blastoise24, I'mma wait for a few more responses before I decide on this one, as it's definitely gonna impact my performance, I also just checked out the specs for the 1080, and I'm considering one of those, as the price is supposed to be between a 980 and a 980ti, for 8gb of GDDR5X, so I'm thinking I'll probably SLI two of those, again, for future proofing :) )

Question 4: I'm not too concerned about price on this one, so offer up your best suggestions, but sound card wise, what is my best option (quality wise) if I want a 7.1 card?

Question 5: I'm pretty sure I'll need an anti-static wrist strap (like 99% sure, but tell me if I won't) but will I need an antistatic mat or not, as this is my first build?

Aaaaand now for the parts list (which is very subject to change)

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K (4.0GHz base, 4.2Ghz Turbo)

Cooler: Corsair H110i GT (side question, I'm assuming the answer is no, but does this come filled with a liquid? It doesn't say on the page, and like I said, I assume no, but I'm not sure) (I'll be putting 2 Riing fans on this, but would 4 improve my cooling (also I picked this because I don't want a massive heatsink and I want to be able to overclock the CPU in future - feel free to provide better options for a 240mm CPU cooler (as long as it's pre-assembled)

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-SOC Force (again, suggestions are welcome)

RAM: 16GB 3200MHz 4x4Gb G.Skill Ripjaws V

Graphics Card(s): 2x 980/ti's in SLI ?? (Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming either way)

Sound Card: ??

SSD: Samsung 950 Pro 256gb M.2. SSD ??

HDD: Western Digital WD Black (2TB) (I'mma use a cablemod orange cable for this)

Power Supply: (For future proofing) EVGA SuperNOVA G2 Gold 1300W (which I'll be replacing the cables included with orange/orange and black ones from cablemod)

ODD Devices: 1x NZXT Aperture Multimedia Hub
1x Pioneer Blu-Ray Burner (not a slim one)
1x NZXT Sentry 3 Fan Controller

Case: Corsair 750D Airflow Edition (with window) (which I'll paint black and orange)

Case Fans: 5x Thermaltake Riing Orange 120mm LED fans (as mentioned before, 2x 140mm Riing Orange fans also for the H110i)

Monitor: Acer XB281HK 28in G-Sync 4K Gaming monitor (but again, I'm open to suggestions)

Thanks, and any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Question 1:
The first option is much better unless you are doing commercial game design or animation or something of that sort :p
Question 2:
I don't know a lot about M.2 SSDs, sorry. Maybe you can use pcpartpicker.com .
Here is some to check out, but don't take my advice too seriously on these.

Question 3:
Depends. Lots of 4K and VR gaming may require 6GB or VRAM. But remember that 2 6GBs do NOT equal 1 12GB. You might not even need two of either in the first place. I personally think the 980s are better in this case because they are way...

Question 5:
You are buying some pretty damn expensive hardware, it's worth it to go for the wrist strap, definitely. You will probably not need the mat, just don't work on some static causing material (like a rug).

Hope I helped :D

Hey Blastoise, thanks for your help :) I'll definitely buy the 16gb of ram, as I've seen in lots of places that this is the better choice, I'll also take into consideration your graphics card advice, but I'm now looking at SLI-ing 2 1080's when they come out :) (I'll also definitely buy a strap and work on either stone or wood :)
