295x2 to a gtx 1070 a good upgrade?

I'm thinking of selling my 295x2 and upgrading to a gtx 1070 when it releases. It just seems like a REALLY good price for a card that beats the titan x. Would it be a good upgrade?

It's a downgrade, the 295x2 already beats a Titan X.

depends on what you are doing on games that dont support cf i believe there would be a advantage to a 1070. however its still hard to tell they say the 1070 beats the titan but that may not be true for many aplications

take those benchmarks with a grain of salt, that was in a VR test with their new technology that the titan x does not support, that alone showed a 33+fps gain, as well as it was on DX12 which the 1070/1080 support much better. it will most likely not beat the titan x on your average direct x 11 titles that me and you are playing now, more than likely its less than the 980ti or close to it.

the 1080 alone was not a 2x improvement against the 980 in tw3 and rottr, so if you dont plan of using vr, the 1080 actually wont be 2x the power of the titan x.
but an 1080 in sli should be able to beat the 295x2, not sure about the 1070 sli though http://www.geforce.com/hardware/10series/geforce-gtx-1080
