I'm looking to upgrade my PC and would like help choosing a motherboard.

Alright, so I'm looking to spend around 120-150 on motherboard + cpu combined...Any savings in this can later be used for an SSD or a Graphics card upgrade.... so I"m more concerned about value/$.

I've pretty much decided I'll go with FX-4300 quad-core 3.8GHz CPU... as at $70.00 (
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113287&ignorebbr=1) it seems like the best bang/buck that works with my budget.

The system will be used for gaming but it need not be capable of the newest AAA titles. (Usage Examples: Dota 2, League of Legends, other older games, flash games, game development).

I already have a dedicate graphics card... Radeon HD 4850, and other PC parts. (I know it's old, but still sufficient for me, though I may upgrade later)...

Anyway... on to the motherboard... it need to support the AM3+ processor, so I'm thinking of getting a 970 chipset board as it seems economical enough yet still supports my need for AM3+ support and has good looking features. I feel new is safer, but I'm open to used provided it's in good condition and a good deal. Candy like 4 ram slots, Sata3 and USB 3 or USB 3.1 appeal to me. So, here are some choices I've come across that I'm considering:

$70 - after rebate...new:

Solution
You don't need anything "Gaming", that's usually reserved for MBs with multiple PCIe x16 ports and insane overclock. No need for 4 RAM slots, there are many 8GB RAM sticks and although you don't need more than that with that system, you can still have 16GB of RAM although it's more than system like that would ever need.
For uses you listed a micro ATX board would do just as much as biggest and most expensive ones. Any MB made in last couple of years has SATA3 and USB3 ports, it's only a question of how many.

I would switch to Intel if this is going to be a gaming rig. The dual core isn't ideal for gaming, but should give better FPS than the FX in the games you're playing due to the higher single thread performance. The bonus is that it will have much more upgrade potential.
