Alright, so I just finished my first ever PC build with an Asus Z97-A motherboard. I ensured that I had plugged everything in correctly and that the cables were in completely. I powered the system on and got to the screen where I'm supposed to press either F2 or DEL to access the uefi bios settings. No matter how much i pressed these two keys it just would not let me. I checked if the keyboard worked on another computer and it did. (This keyboard was a USB one). I tried with two other keyboards; a second USB one and the the other a PS/2. Neither of them worked. I then started to look around the internet for help. Common solutions were to reinstall the CMOS battery (didn't work for me), remove the graphics card and try without it (didn't work), try with just one ram stick (did not work, I also made sure that the ram were compatible with the motherboard). I also tried the two other ram slots but that did not make any difference, I tried powering on with the SSD and optical unplugged but no. I then disassembled the whole thing and checked if I accidentaly had broken something putting it together. I checked the CPU socket for broken pins but it looked fine. Both sides of the motherboard also looked fine. The only thing I can think of being the problem is that I was given a bad motherboard.

I don't know if it's necessary but here are the specs of the PC:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB)
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 390 8GB Nitro
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-14
Case: Fractal Design Define R5

If anyone has dealt with this kind of problem before, help would be appreciated.
