I've been planning to build a gaming pc for a while now and I was just looking for a cpu air cooler.

The CM Hyper 212X happens te be the same price as the Hyper 212 EVO (where I live), so I figured I should just get the 212X instead of the EVO. I just realized that there are two variations of the 212X. Over here they sell one with a matte black fan (European version?!) and the version that is most often reviewed has got a grey fan (American version?!)

Does anyone know the differences between these two coolers/fans, and should I get the matte black fanned 212X or should I get the regular EVO instead? Any help is highly appreciated!

Solution
The EVO has small separation on its' base between the heat pipes. The improved 212 X has the pipes all touching each other with no gaps and the fan has improved bearing according to Cooler Master to last much longer. Get whatever version 212 X you have available to you since it is improved over the EVO.

I'm pretty sure that there are little to no difference at all between the grey and the black, get the one whichever is cheaper. Btw, I have the grey one and its awesome :D
