Is 3 pin molex enough for front case fan?

Hello, I have an Antec VSK4000 cabinet. I've purchased THIS cable for my front case fan, as all the other molex connectors are used.

My question is, with 3 pins & 3 wires, will this cable run the fan in the best way? Or do I need a cable with 4 wires and 4 pins? Does it make a difference?

4 pins for cpu controlled fans if on a late model board i customized 4 pin plug to suit 2 fans 1 front & rear case fan running of my mother board header kicks in as u need it on bios control best way
