Gaming setup good for all games?

Solution
That's a very good build overall, but you might want to wait for the pascal gpu's. The gtx 1070 will perform similar to a gtx 980 ti or even outperform it and it will only cost $380 (when it is released in early june). If you decide to stick with the current gen you might also want to wait because the prices will drop as soon as the new gen releases.

I think the 6600k is a solid choice and you'll be able to get a very decent overclock with that liquid cooler (even though I'm not familiar with it). The Mobo you chose has got everything you need for a solid gaming rig, but it has a micro ATX formfactor. Your case can also fit an ATX mobo so you might want to look into that.

As for the psu, 750W is more than you"ll need with this setup...
Excellent build, but the overall price is a bit high? I do see your having to get EVERYTHING (mouse, keyboard, OS, monitor) so I understand it costing more than a normal build. Also you do realize that you have to build all that yourself (where is your thermal paste for example???) and IF you mess up (easy mistake bending pins on the Mobo while putting in the CPU / Watercooling) you have to fork over to REPURCHASE the parts broken. They won't replace parts you break, just to let you know.

Here is mine I did;

Note I had the drives already, I did have to upgrade the PSU not due to the HDDs but the 970 draws alot of power. I would recommend nothing less then 650W if you plan to get a 970. A XEON is a i7 without graphics built in, so as you can see for $500 less than your build I am on a Quad drive system with a much better CPU.

I would suggest you might want to double check on the pricing and such, you don't have to spend $2K to have a ultra system, much less a 'beginner'.

Good luck building your pc though!

yes a micro atx mobo will fit just fine in an atx case. The only "downside" is that you will have a regular sized case with a small motherboard.

Just a quick sidequestion, isn't $1988 a bit much for this setup? And are you going to build this pc yourself?

The msi Z170-A Pro is almost identical to the mobo you initially selected but it is a full size ATX motherboard. Over here it is also slightly less expensive. This is just an example because there are numberous good mobos in that price category.

You should just make a list of all the features you want (for example: amount of ram slots, amount of pcie lanes, sli/crossfire support, a certain color to match with the rest of your build) and search for the cheapest mobo with all those features.

Too bad Denmark is so expensive... Here in the Netherlands a build like this would cost somewhere around $1500, and it's even cheaper in the states...
