I built that yesterday with the help of a computer technician who has been building computers since 1994, before I was born lol. Everything seems to be running properly, however I cannot get the system to produce a display. I tried hooking it up to an older monitor which I have tested this week and believe is working properly. I've tried connecting with DVI and HDMI with no success. I've tried connecting directly to the MOBO with the GPU installed, and without the GPU installed. Connecting directly to the GPU of-course. Everything is lit up and running, fans going etc. I just cannot get it to produce a display.

I know the monitor I puchased needs to be RMA'd, due to it not even producing a display past the welcome screen with it connected to my Xbox 1 via HDMI. However, my system won't even connect to the older monitor. I really need help troubleshooting this and figuring out which parts I need to RMA or what I may have done wrong. I can post pictures of the build if that is necessary, but I have to go to work in 50 minutes so I will do that upon request.

I am a huge noob at this but I really don't understand why this isn't working. I feel I've tried everything, but that's probably not the case. If someone helps me get this working I will paypal them $10.

Make sure you plug the keyboard and mouse into USB 2.0 headers on the motherbaord; USB 3.0 tends to be finicky on first boot without an OS. What do you mean by initial BIOS and motherboard BIOS? All motherboards have only one BIOS.

Is there anyway you can check if the GPU outputs video by fixing it in another PC? I have a strong feeling the motheboard is busted if no video comes from the Mobo video headers as well. When it boots, do you hear any beep codes?

I have finally got the build producing a display. I've seen the initial bios and the motherboard's bios. I've installed an internal optical drive and tried to run my Windows 7 OEM disc. The drive reads and loads the disc, but when the initial install option screen appears, my keyboard and mouse are disabled.

Has anyone ever heard of this problem? I've tried resetting the BIOS multiple times. I switched from an external drive to the internal one I just bought from Best Buy. I don't know what to do at this point.

The keyboard is usually lit...The mouse stays lit.
