mobo chipset confused

i am looking for a new motherboard for my pc with usb 3.0 and 6gbps sata. The problem is that my processor is i3 2120 and i am not sure whether the new mobos with 81 chipset supports the 2nd gen processors. The budget for my mobo is 5k ISD. Any help will be appreciated.

Assuming you mean, H81, no. H81 is fourth generation and has a socket that physically differs from the LGA1155 socket (2nd/3rd generation - Sandy/Ivy Bridge).

Any of the chipsets listed here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1155#Original_Sandy_Bridge_chipsets), and the IB chipsets, will work here.
 
A i3-2120 uses a lga1155 motherboard.

81 is not one of them.

What is the make/model of your current motherboard?

You do have some options with your current motherboard.
You can buy an add in card with usb3.0 or one with 6gb sata.
But, there is not a big advantage to 6gb sata.
Hard drives hardly benefit, and a ssd will still be very good on slower sata.

i am currently using ASRock H61M-VS4. it is a good mobo but i wanted to change it as i will be getting a new ssd and after a bit of research i arrived at the decision that SATA II will not be able to unlock its full potential (i maybe be wrong.idk). what should i do?

You are not wrong exactly, when you say full potential. But changing the motherboard will have no noticeable difference in your performance.
The value of a ssd for windows is the minimal latency and consequent 50x better small random I/o compared to a hard drive. That is what windows does 90% of the time.
It is only the sequential performance that is impacted by sata II vs. III.
sata II will be 2x faster than a fast hard drive, sata III will be 3x faster.
A synthetic benchmark will show a difference in sequential speeds, but in your daily usage, you will NOT be able to detect any difference.
I suggest you just go ahead and buy your ssd and enjoy it.
