Hello,

I have recently gotten myself a new job and am building a new PC for gaming mainly.

I'm wanting to play everything on Ultra and to even allow for 4K for when more games come out with it. Right now the main games I play are; Elder Scrolls Online, CSGO, Overwatch. I also play things like Batman, GTAV, Metal Gear Solid, etc when they come out.

What I've gotten so far is;

Intel i7-6700k 4.0Ghz
Corsair H60 Liquid Cooler
Asus Z170-A ATX Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000
MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB
Corsair RMx 550W

Then I have a cases, monitors, etc already on my current PC. I'm also aware for 4K I'll need to purchase a 4K monitor.

Now from those specifications what type of performance can I expect, would games run in Ultra and 4K if available?

Thanks for any and all answers

Your parts list is good.
Have you already purchased, or is this just the plan?

Corsair rm is very good, but
you might want to go a bit stronger on the psu. 600w-750w.

14nm skylake runs cool.
You do not need liquid cooling.
I would opt for a simpler tower type air cooler with a 120 or 140mm fan.
Noctua NH-U12s or NH-U14s would be more than enough.
They will be quieter and more reliable.

I hope you are planning on a SSD for this build.

To answer your question, I have no problem getting 60fps using a GTX980ti on my 4k monitor.
I play games such as civ 4&5, skyrim, FSX.
At 4k, you do not need high aa settings because of the increased display density.

If you buy today, make it a evga card so you can get a upgrade to the new GTX1080 or...
