So, I'm a gamer, playing all sorts of games, but mainly TF2 competitive atm. My question is: Should i put the keyboard/mouse on top or under my desk, and does it really matter?

I go by the height of the armrests of my task chair. This is why I like a heavy duty pullout tray that is sturdy, and height and tilt adjustable.

Ultimately it depends on how sturdy your desk is, and how much room you have between the underside of it's top and your thighs though.
