I don't really know how to title this, but if I did good then hooray.
I recently bought a new (used/old) CPU for my desktop to improve performance, what I did not know is that updating the BIOS to read the CPU properly would be so hectic, hectic to the point where I simply have lost the motivation to really figure it out.
So I bought a "Intel Core 2 Duo 3.33Ghz E8600" CPU and I need to update my BIOS, as I said.
My motherboard is an Asus P5KPL-AM.
To be clear, I have already gone and downloaded what is supposed to be the BIOS update for the CPU, which is a ".ROM" file which my BIOS seems to be incapable of reading, the CD I'm using is garbage or I simply have no clue what is going on.
