I changed the PCI slot settings in BIOS enabled "compute" on all slots. Now my PC will not reboot In BIOS. I get 6 beeps and red flashes. Some PC's that's an error for CPU. But the HP the code is graphics. By changing the settings it is not recognizing my graphics card. And I cant reset the BIOS because it wont boot far enough for me to get into BIOS settings. I've tried removing the battery, pushing the CMOS button and changed out the graphics card to a known good one. IT is not returning BIOS to default.

HP Z400 Workstation, Xeon w3520 CPU, 8Gb ram, 128Gb SSD.

Please help, HP support site had nothing! The funny thing is I know what I did wrong just can't get to BIOS settings.

Have you tried performing the suggestion made in your manual page 123, 136?
Power LED flashes red 6 times
(once every second), followed by a
2–second pause, and then the
workstation beeps 6 times.

Prevideo graphics error.

For systems with a graphics card:
1. Reseat the graphics card.
2. Replace the graphics card.
3. Replace the system board.

I have fixed problem after fighting with it for weeks. There is a MOBO schematic on the the inside of the case cover and I located a jumper called " Crisis recovery jumper" I shut down/unplugged/removed battery/pushed CMOS button/Restarted with "crisis recovery jumper" Jumped and voila! Let me back into BIOS set up!!!!! All is well.... Thanks

i shutdown the pc. unplugged the power cable and vga cable. remove the battery (and not putting back the battery). press cmos button. take out the pin which is beside of the cmos button and plug to the "Crisis recovery jumper" and power up.
it is not beeping 6 times, but it is showing nothing in the monitor.
pls let me know all these steps are correct or missing any step....

HP Z600 Workstation, 2x Xeon CPU, 32GB ram, 500GB HDD, 240Gb SSD.

thanks.
