Hi, could someone tell me if I could use an extension for the mini slot and put a sound card to it?
If so, what type of sound card port etc would I need? As in what type of pin set up.. Thanks.
I have this motherboard

Solution
Probably high impedance headphones. What settings have you tried? Make sure it's set to stereo. You could try equalization. There's also software to boost it.
What's wrong with the built in audio?... if it doesn't work, it may need drivers and if it has suffered any type of damage, you can install a PCIe x 1 sound card in the PCIe 3.0 x 16 slot,.. that's if you don't already have PCIe video card on it.

[strike]BTW: I don't see a PCIe x 1 mini slot in the mobo images [/strike]

Found the Vertical Half Mini-PCI Express port but haven't found a sound card for it.

The sound card in my motherboard is not load enough for my headset hence the need to put something external or something else. Don't know what to do. Have tried all settings on my pc

Do you mean onboard audio doesn't give enough volume?... if so, try updating the audio drivers... download them from the motherboard support > downloads page, and tweak the Realtek audio manager to get the best sound from the audio chip. Another option to get higher volume from any sound card is Media Player Classic... well, at least for audio and video files.

Yes onboard
The drivers you gave me are still current.
I just need 20% more.
