Good day Experts,

I am planning to build a PC for autocad 3D learning & some gaming from Steam like NBA, etc....
I expect it would be a stable PC with long lifetime. I have about $800 for my budget & am not in USA. Below is my plan config:

Main Asus H110M-D $ 82
CPU : i5 6500 3.2 GHz 229
Ram Gskill  DDR4  43
graphic Asus GTX 750 TI 140
SSD Plextor 256 M6V 94
Power corsair 450 VS 37
Case in win GT 1 54
DVD VD 18
Windows 109
Total 806

May I have your advice for the above config? I am not familiar with PSU Corsair, is 450 VS a reliable PSU ? Is it a good time to build PC or should I wait for a price drop for CPU & VGA Card ?
Thank you in advance !
Have a nice day

The Corsair VS are OK but not great, at this budget you could get something much better like a Seasonic or something. The S12II 520 sounds great.

For CAD I think almost any Skylake CPU should be great because as mentioned it is pretty single threaded. I'd go for i3/16GB/GTX 750Ti and a 430W PSU.

I did some light research on Autocad 3D, and it is a single threaded application. Since it is single threaded, you won't benefit from a multi core i5, as much as you would from a cheaper, higher clocked i3. I would not recommend 460 VS power supply, as it is a tier 4 power supply, according to the PSU tier list. I swapped for a tier 3, cheaper EVGA power supply. In terms of graphics cards, I bumped your 750Ti up to a 950. I know you are not in the U.S., but hopefully this system will work. If I may ask, what country are you in? It would help so that I can better work around your $800 budget. Best of luck!

EDIT:
I would also wait to build your system. Nvidia just revealed their new Pascal line of graphics cards, which will bring the price down of the 950 and other cards ect. I think for your needs, now is a great time to build a PC.

Hi StormBrew,
Thanks for your reply, I am in Vietnam at the moment so the parts are hard to get & they are pricey, Asus GTX 950 cost ~ $200 at my place.
* I will switch to Seasonic S12II 520 - 80 Plus Bronze PSU ( Tier II Bronze) based on your reference link, appreciate your help for that !

* I would like to stick with i5 6500 for the performance, some program may be installed in the future.

* EVGA is not popular here, only Asus / GIGABYTE Graphic cards, I will wait for the price to drop.

Thanks again & have a nice day!
