Odd issue occurring

I have an odd issue occurring with my machine (system in sig)... Sometimes when I'm in the middle of a game, my game will freeze, I will hear static, and then the noise will cut off. I have no access to anything during this time, I cannot ctrl alt del, cannot move mouse, cannot do anything except full power down my machine. And, occasionally on startup, I cannot use my mouse or my keyboard other than moving the mouse pointer around. Nothing else. Just the pointer. No left click right click or keyboard functions, even though they are initialized, as their lights are on. When this occurs and I mouse over (because pointer still works) the taskbar at the bottom of win10, I get the "I'm thinking" mouse scroll. Machine full POSTs, but I have literally no functionality in Windows.

The other odd issue is that I've had issues with my front USB 3.0 ports. That could point to the case... But for some reason, all of this occurring is making me think it's my motherboard finally starting to go. My GPUs are stable in Heaven, my CPU is stable in prime. None of my 3 drives are fried. My 3 sticks of memory are all running at their stock speeds and are also okay when running Blend in Prime 95. The only thing that I can think of is "Hey your motherboard is finally starting to crap out" :/
Thoughts? 'Cause I'm at a loss here.

M5A99X asus boards are well built and very reliable.

Unless you have overclocked things to the max limit.
If the system does not crash with a prime 95 cpu stress test, or a memory stress test.

The cause may infact be down to the power supply in the system.
Since the power consumption would go up a fair bit when you launched or played a game.

In my mind that is what it would point to the Psu.

I don`t know how old your PSU is in your system, but I can say if it`s been in there powering the system for more than a year. Its more likely wear and tear of the Psu as to the freezing of the system if it only happens when gaming.

It would also point to the same reason as to why you are having problems with USB 3.0 ports of the system.

I suggest if you can to at least if you have a spare PSU, with equal wattage output to the one you currently have fitted to the system.

That you try it with your system.
Or at least if you have a good friend ask to borrow there PSU out of the system to confirm it`s the power supply in your system that is causing all of the trouble for you.

That's true actually, I haven't swapped this PSU in the 4.5 years I've had the machine. 750W CM GX (corsair or CM?) It's not a great psu, but when I ran prime and heaven at the same time, my wattage maxed at 500, so I figured it wasn't an issue. But the fact that it's that old could definitely be it.
