Hey,

My motherboard died the other day so ordered a new one online (Z170 Pro Gaming) aswell as I7-6700k and some new DDR4 Ram to cater for it.

No problems with any of those components however when I turn the system on my GPU (GTX 680) fan spins constantly at maximum (loads of noise) and is not detected in the bios at all.

I'm currently using the integrated graphics of my CPU which is working fine. I've reinstalled windows on my SSD and downloaded all the relevant drivers but everything I do comes up short to getting the GPU detected / usable.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
Joe

In that case does it seem to be the motherboard,it having issues with compatibility regarding the gtx 680.Might still want to contact Gigabyte, maybe if they know they can include a fix in a new uefi/bios.

Yeah tried all the different available slots

And that wasn't the problem with the motherboard. It didn't boot without the GPU either. but I guess it could be fried.

Was hoping to be able to use my 680 until the 1080 was out though

Motherboard seems to be working fine for everything else. Just tried another GPU in the PCI-E slot and that worked fine without any hitches. Will try to update now though.
