Hey guys new to the site, and I just have a few questions. I have recently just been asked to build a computer for my grandmother, of course it's nothing serious at all, but it's my first time building a computer by myself so I would like to make sure that all the parts will work together. Thanks, and just as a side question. Does anyone know where I can find teal LED strips for the pc. I can't seem to find any.

I already have a case that already has 1 fan, but it has spots for 2 more.

Yeah it's just for browsing and facebook mostly, Just making a granny pc. Thanks for the answer I was looking for :)

Drop the GPU and get this apu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113371&cm_re=A8-7600-_-19-113-371-_-Product
granny pc or not, a quad core is better, and the integrated graphics will do.
Also get a dual channel kit, as that will help the APU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231460&cm_re=DDR3_1866-_-20-231-460-_-Product

EDIT:
you will not be needing that extra fan for this build. actually, the PSU fan will do quite nicely.

So then would I only have that RAM, the motherboard, the APU, and the power supply?

Yes. Simple and effective.
