in my bios i overclocked my cpu to 4.7 ghz on my i7 4790k with and h97 motherboard. i couldnt give it more voltage but it is stable at 1.2v. in the bios it says the cpu is running at 4700mhz and also in cpuz it says that. but in windows task manager when i go into performance, it says that it fluctuates from 4.4ghz to 4.64ghz. im not sure which one is telling the truth.

''should trust my bios ''

?? tough call but seeing its what controls everything I would look at it as close to more to true [opinion]

nothing wrong with hwinfo its a respected program and safe - but that's your call on what you feel is right
