I'm a beginner at OC but I'm really testing my limits here. I'll skip to the end, it's been long trial and error session!
EVGA 980 SCC ACX 2.0
I was able to run the Unigine Valley benchmark stable at 1421MHz with a boost speed of 1522MHz.
Voltage was at +25 or +30; core clock was at +155; power limit was maxed; CPU and GPU temps were fine.
I'm using an i3 6100 3.7GHz - I'm suspecting it might be the CPU holding me back..in any case, I'm only using this until I can buy an i6600k and not overclocking the CPU at all right now.
The point here, though, is that even with the voltage increased to +35, GPU-Z is still showing a max voltage of 1.2370 (or something like that, I had to restart my computer). It's the same max voltage as when the voltage in MSI Afterburner was at +25.
Anyone know possible causes? Like I said, I'm a beginner and maybe I'm just pushing everything too hard.
