My computer Dell 3521 will support SoDimm 1600 or 1866 speed. I don't do gaming or photo editing much, but often work with multiple windows. Sometimes it freezes on this, but usually only when the bandwidth is slow. To get around this, I would like to completely replace the memory with a 2X8Gig, same speed pair of chips. Would the 1866 be an advantage to the 1600 speed?

Seen conflicting info on that laptop, but most indicate max DRAM of 8GB in a 2x4GB config using 1600 DDRL. What does it show in your manual.
