Should I upgrade to the 1080 GTX now or wait for 1080Ti?

I currently have a GTX 980 Ti and am planning to upgrade to one of the two since I have a 4k monitor and want higher framerates.

Wait for reviews of the 1080, at least. See if it actually runs 4K well enough for you.

It could be over a year until we see a 1080Ti if NVIDIA follow a similar time line to the 980 & 980Ti releases. There is no guarantee there will even be a 1080Ti

Their no need to buy anything right now wait till benchmarks come out. I see no reason to make a hasty purchase then be disappointed with the performance.
