Suddenly having issues joining servers on many games using dedicated servers

Hey everyone since last saturday i was in the middle of playing on my normal gmod server while being on its teamspeak when i suddenly got disconnected. I didnt do any updates or download any new software i just got randomly DC'd for no reason and have not been able to get back on the TS and am only able to join the gmod server while using a VPN. I can join most other teamspeaks and seems to be unable to join a very large amount of GMOD servers as well has battlefield 3 and 4 and also rust. I can see some servers but i just cant connect to them. Any ideas? also i have power cycled my modem for 12 hours and nothing changed. i have a static ip and have no idea how to change it also charter is my isp and they havent been able to help at all.

Have you tried using ping, tracert, pathping commands targeting the servers by ip and name?

May show something. If you have a static IP via Charter perhaps some competitor tried to DoS you out and just forgot to undo things.....

Not a gamer myself but I have read some really interesting things regarding various cheats and how they are done.
