Typical x80 to x80 Ti release schedule?

I just a couple weeks ago was forced to upgrade my 780 gtx (due to it failing), and purchased a 980ti through EVGA, and registered it...so I am eligible for their "Step-Up" program for the next 90 days.

Based on the past, has NVIDIA followed a typical release window for the x80 Ti release following the 'regular' x80 variant? I'm curious if I can likely hold out and get the 'Ti' upgrade, or if I'm likely out of luck time-wise and should just put in for the 1080.

Any info or insight is very much appreciated. :)

It depends on how nvidia wants to play it. But it won't be anytime soon after 1080 launch. Most people suspect it won't be coming out until 2017. Heck we could even see whole new series with some of current 1k series being rebrand into lower tier like what happen to 680 becoming 770.

thanks for the answers, everyone. I suppose I'll start that 'Step-Up' process with EVGA. Would have loved to be flagship 'Ti', but it definitely sounds like it's going to be further down the road than 90 days! Ah well. ;)
