I am going to build a PC that can handle AutoCAD, School work and Gaming. My budget is between the $1500 and the $1800. Do you have any recommendations for specs please?

With that budget, you'll have zero problems.

I'm not 100% sure how many cores AutoCAD can utilize or whether it's got a preference for AMD/nVidia, so I've got two options for you - a 6700K & a 5820K w/ R9 390x or GTX 980ti - or a combination of both.

Not sure whether you needed peripherals etc too, so I didn't include. Might have to scale back a couple of points if you need a good monitor/keyboard/mouse/headphones etc.

Either build, or a combination of them will game perfectly - as far as AutoCAD, I'm assuming both would be overkill but the added cores/threads in the 5820K may be of benefit, they might not. I'm sure somebody with good AutoCAD knowledge will be able to shed some light.
