found my old computer from 2001 in the basement....

Hello,
I recently uncovered my old computer (2001, Desktop) from the basement and wanted to see whats inside... I however could not find the power cord for it. i was wondering if its possible to take the hard drive and boot it from my current computer?

My Current PC:
- runs windows 10
- gtx 960 gpu
- amd athlon 4X 860k

The hardrive would probably not boot as the other hardware is different that what it's configured for. You could, however, hook it up to your current PC and try that, as long as it wasn't an old ribbon HDD and it uses SATA. This way you could use it an another drive (your main HD is c:\ so this would be something like d:\). If it still works, you should be able to access files that are on it still.
