Hi, I recently put together a PC and found out that the RAM I bought was incompatible with my motherboard.

http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-PC3-12800-240-Pin-BLS8G3D1609DS1S00/dp/B006YG9E7O/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1462828610&sr=1-2&keywords=8gb+ddr3+ram

So I returned it and was thinking about buying this RAM.

http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-2x4GB-1600MHz/dp/B00J8E8ZLK/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Would that RAM be compatible with this motherboard?

Intel Desktop Board DQ57TM

The reason why the old RAM didn't work is because it was too big for 1 stick, so I'm buying 2 smaller sticks instead.

No the Fury aren't compatible, they start compatibility wise with the 1155 mobos, you have an older 1156 which doesn't support PnP (how the DRAM sets up rather than the norm of XMP), nor does it support the high density memory ICs used by todays DDR3. I'd look at GSkill's NT series of value DRAM which uses the low density memory ICs that the 1156 prefer
