I have been looking at replacing my graphics card because that seems to be my main bottleneck. I found a GTX 750 Ti that seemed to have a good price for the performance to add onto my desktop. I currently have a AMD A6 APU processor with onboard graphics, installed in a ASUS F1A75-V Pro. I have another graphics card, a ASUS Radeon HD 6450 1GB installed that the GTX would replace. The GTX would preform better than the onboard graphics and the 6450 working together if I'm not mistaken, but would there be an issue with the GTX not being a compatible card to work with the on board graphics?

Solution
When you install the GTX 750Ti, the on-board graphics will be disabled. This is normal. You are correct, the GTX will out-perform the current config.

Good luck. These components will work together just fine.

Thank you for the help! I haven't been paying as much attention to current technology for computers as when I built my desktop so I've kind of fallen out of the mindset about how everything works if that makes sense. Computers change so much within a year.
