hi there im looking to purchase water cooling for my next build (broadwell-e) and its my first time with custom loop water cooling. After doing some research online i picked out some parts and want your guys thoughts on them. i also need help on deciding on some fittings. so i was told i need a radiator with thickness under 35mm for it to fit on the top of my H440. so please tell me what you think and if i should swap any of the parts out for another.
parts list : http://imgur.com/d2NSjnQ

id appreciate any help

thanks

A 360mm could handle the GPU and CPU. No need for a second radiator unless you want to overclock the Video card. I'd get a video card waterblock and try it out.

Video cards heat up a lot so I like to liquid cool them. They also have a super big and thick heatsink making them 2 slots so I like to replace them with a thin water block. It also removes the fans of the video card that screw up air flow and act as an exhaust. I prefer to water cool a Video Card over a CPU.

Don't forget the compression fittings. And as mentioned copper/brass radiators to avoid problems. You can read up on why aluminum rads are no good for computers.

For the radiator a 35mm+25mm fans works on the H440. XSPC EX360 Crossflow will work. It's a...

Well the fittings are going to stick out no matter what. But they will stick out only on one end. And the motherboard won't nearly be that long, so you can always have the ports towards the front.

I like XSPC nickel fittings and nickel/black hose clamps, but I like a good mechanical look. http://www.performance-pcs.com/xspc-g1-4-to-13mm-1-2-barb-fitting-black-chrome-finish.html

For just the CPU, it is enough, but a lot of money and expense for just the CPU.

Oh and be sure the radiator is brass/copper and not aluminum.

For the radiator a 35mm+25mm fans works on the H440. XSPC EX360 Crossflow will work. It's a 35mm rad. You can also mount a 360mm up front. I like that rad for it's performance also it's standard G 1/4" ports. And 6/32 threads to screw the fans on. 6/32 is the same screws to hold electrical plugs and switches to the box in the wall...I'm an electrician :) Get some screws and cut them to length to mount the fans. Don't screw a long screw in or you'll damage the radiator.

Don't forget the fans. Get 3 of them and make sure they are static pressure fans. It doesn't matter which side of the radiator you mount the fans as push or pull. It doesn't affect cooling. Noctua make the best fans but they are expensive.

Nice choice on the D5 pump/reservoir combo. D5 is a better pump than DDC.

I prefer compression fittings not barbs. It mechanically tightens the tube for piece of mind.

If you change the radiator you can get everything from XSPC in 1 order.

That's all I can think of. I check out premade XSPX kits but the ones with an EX 35mm radiator come with a drive bay reservoir. They look cool but tower reservoirs are better and easier to bleed and work with. Also many cases don't come with drive bays. maybe you can contact XSPX and tell them you need a complete kit with the EX Rad and D5 tower reservoir. They accomodate you, include all fittings, hose, liquid, LEDs, just like their other kits. you'll get a discount.
