Dear all,

I am trying to upgrade my old HP computer with a new graphic card mainly for gaming. Here is my computer spec: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03420046

Currently I am considering:
1: ASUS RADEON R7240-2GD3-L 128 BITS
2: VGA ASUS GTX650-E-1GD5 - GEFORCE GTX 650 - 128BITS
3: VGA GIGABYTE GV-N730-2GI - Geforce GT 730

I dont know much about graphic card so can you guys please give me some advice. From my research they are more or less the same. One main thing i cam concern is that will the power supply of my current computer enough to run these card? This is the power specs:

Power Supply
Internal 300W (100V-240V)
Form factor: Internal ATX
Total wattage: 300W
Nominal input voltage range: 200-240V/3A (50-60Hz)

Thanks a lot
Tony Le

For your CPU and power supply, the best card to get would be either a regular nVidia 750. While a 750 Ti is better it does draw a bit more power from the PCIe slot and the OEM systems can have issues with supplying enough power to the PCIe slot properly. If you are OK with testing a card and maybe returning it, you can try a 750 Ti without a secondary power plug requirement. This is about $100 after rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487024&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-VigLink2-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3821802&SID=io32cjcrss000a1700053

What i am main worry about is the power supply - mine is 300w and in the website Nvidia stated GTX 650 need 400w. Any one can suggest me a good card that work with 300w psu please?

a 750 ti can run on 300w?
i did not know that

Yes, it can. Have seen 290w PSUs running a PC with a GTX 750. A quality 350w PSU will suffice.

If it's a non-overclocked one and does not have a secondary power plug, yes. But as long as it's not a junk power supply and is in a decent motherboard. OEM systems tend to have a lower max wattage rating for the PCIe slot, although there are cases where cards work even if the technical spec of the system would say otherwise. A 750 would be safer to try than a 750 Ti but a Ti may work fine also.
