Have a Acer recovery disk and wanted to see if I can use it on a Dell

The Acer has Win 7 and I'd like to upgrade my Dell Vista to 7. The Acer is no more so the key won't be in issue as it can transfer. Thanks in advance.

No you can't and you can't legally use a key from an Acer on a Dell. The license belongs to the Acer and cannot be transferred

In addition to the legal considerations, I'd think the Acer disc would have Acer specific drivers that would be incompatible with the Dell PC.
