Hi all
I need major help with my situation because I tried googling but no luck so far.
Backgound:
I decided to finally change my internal mechanical hard drive to a Samsung 850 pro SSD. After replacing the hard drive and installing windows 7, things were all fine until the desktop goes to sleep mode. To start it again, I had to detach my hard drive wires from the box and reattach again (which was very annoying), but each time it would restart again.
From google, I realised that I needed to turn off Sleep/Hibernate via Windows 7 administrator power settings. I did this, but I didn't remove the hiberfil.sys file from the command prompt as suggested, or restart the computer. I decided to test hibernation via startup (silly me). Now the computer won't start up at all. I've removed the hard drive cables/tried the old hard drive but it won't start up. All it does is make a beep noise for 1 second, light up my power button on the box for 1 second, and switch off. The PSU seems to be working.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do? I'm afraid I might have fried the hard drive because when I changed the hard drive cables when the PSU switch was still on.
