Worthwhile to upgrade from FX-8120 at this point?

I have had this cpu for over a year now, and current offerings from AMD to my understanding dont seem to offer much more than this processor other than higher stock speeds. Im not entirely convinced that a jump to intel would be better either, atleast not too much more than me grabbing an FX 8370. What do you guys think?

your better off using the amd cpu till the mb/cpu died then jumpping over to the newest intel cpu when you do have to rebuild. I would sell your two sli gpu and got with one new 1070 now.

Lol that sig is old. My actual build is about the same but instead I have a r9 270X. The motherboard has no signs of faltering atleast. It would be cheaper for me to stick with AMD if something happened to the board. Something would honestly have to happen to the CPU for me to force my self to consider Intel. Im kinda hoping that I can hold out to the end of the year for the new line of Zen FX processors, though if I can get it cheap enough, I wouldnt mind a i5 K version. Im just hoping my cpu will handle a 1070 when it releases

if you have a local micro center the 4590 is 160.00 and the 6600 is 170.00 the 6600 has a 30.00 combo rebate with mb.

No such luck. About the only store that I have near by best buy with in like 50 miles
