I5 or I7?

Ok so I am looking to build a PC with an i5 6600K and GTX 1070
will the CPU be future proof for about 3 more years or is it worth the extra $100 (NZD) for an i7 6700K?

i5-6500 will last you for 3 years easily. The i5-6600k will last you for maybe 4 years, especially when overclocked to 4.4GHz. If you are going to game on it, go for the i5-6500. No game can take down a new-gen i5.

An I5 should do the trick for a couple of years.
Eg An i5 2500K is still quite a capable cpu
