Hey, I have a motherboard Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H and I want to purchase a GPU (Asus Turbo OC, 4GB 256-bit) it will fit in my slot ?

I heard yes and no, so I am posting this here.

Solution

I myself have a ASUS GTX 960 2gb, which is a PCIe 3.0 card with only 128 bits. But my mother board only has a PCIe 2.0 slot.
I have been playing Crysis 3 on very high/ultra setting with 60-75 FPS. At no point have i seen the FPS drop below 60 during normal gameplay. It drops to 40-45 FPS when i get to the cut scenes.
During normal gameplay, the FPS should not be too low according to me.

P.S. I have...

Doesn't Matter to what you are planning on buying. The graphics card is PCIe 3.0 and the Motherboard has 1 PCIe 3.0 and the other one is PCIe 2.0 for Rev 2.0 of the Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H.
The graphics card having PCIe 3.0 are also compatible with PCIe 2.0 slots as well but limit the capabilities of the card.

IT WILL FIT on the slot on your motherboard.

That's what I understand, my GPU will be limited so instead of playing a game (such as Grand Theft Auto V) at 60+frames I'll get like 45, maybe below ?

P.S. I have also played Battlefield 4 at ultra setting at a very good FPS nothing below 60.
