Hello.

I have an a55 mainboard with an amd fm2 cpu.
the current fm2+ motherboards are a58 a68 a78 and a88.

But in the mainboard manual, and also on the homepage they say, my a55 mainboard supports fm2+ cpus, there is a compatibility list on the asrock homepage that clearly stats after bios version X you can use cpu Y.

My question is then, can i use now fm2+ cpus on this board? or is there functional restrictions or does it work normally like it would with a low budget a68 fm2+ board?

Solution
IMO, if there are restrictions then the vendor whould disclose them in their compatibility statement. If there aren't any footnotes, then I interpret it as full functionality. You may not be able to overclock because of limitations in the power infrastructure on the board, but for stock functionality it should be OK.

the bios is alrleady updated, the thing is, will this work fully like on the newer motherboars with all features or does it only "run". My queston is does compatibility mean all feature like in the other board or not?
