i am cool verma and i find this website very helpful for me...
guys my gpu was working great(ati radeon hd 5450 1gb ddr3 sapphire) and suddenly, after 1 year, i just shut my computer and BOOM when i opened it it was "BLACK" means the card was not displaying. after many tries i tried the inbuilt graphics which is "intel mobile 950 chipsets" which i dont think is a real gpu...
plz help me... i loved my GPU more than my IPAD!

When you say "Boom" was there actually a noise or what? When you say it's black, the GPU (the physical card in your PC) had a black mark on it? Or it just shows a black screen? If you have removed the GPU from the system and it works (albeit not as well) with integrated graphics then it seems that the issue is in fact that the GPU is dead. Especially if the GPU has a new black mark on it. Give us some more details about what happened and what you can do/have done with the system. It kinda sounds like the GPU is dead though. Check your warrranty to see when that expired. If it hasn't expired talk to the manufacturer immediately.

to grimfox, no nothing happened, no blast, no black spot, when you open the computer there is a black screen showing "no signal" it does not go forward. to hellfire13, sure! will try. to rohit yes the gpu is working on the onboard graphics card.

if onboard video works with the monitor then the problem most likely is the radeon card. can you try the radeon card in another computer to test whether it still has that issue or not? hopefully is a videocard issue not motherboard video slot issue.

As HELLFIRE said try cleaning the GPU with compressed air, you can get it online. If it still does not work then ur GPU's fried

Try lowering resolution to lowest and all effects off and all graphic settings to low
