What should I overclock my fx-6300 to? Overclock questions.

So I plan on overclocking my fx-6300, although I've never overclocked a processor before as I previously had an i3-3220. I've read some guides and watched some videos briefly, but not 100% positive and confident on what to do. I have some questions for my particular system, like what should I overclock it to? General questions as such. Any help is welcomed, thanks a bunch guys!

With the r2 & an evo really the only limit up to about 4.5ghz is going to be your CPU itself. Both the board & cooler will be good up to that limit.
Some 6300's will hit 4.2 on stock (or below) voltage , some won't.

4.2/4.3 tends to be the number you can manage with minimal voltage increases.
In my experience between 1.34-1.4v tends to be enough .
Personally I never run an fx above 1.4v if possible , many people drop a 'supposed' safe limit of 1.5v but IMO that's too much when it comes to both power draw & temps vs actual performance increase.

If this is for gaming use then in all honesty the 750ti is limiting you with the 6300@stock speeds anyway.

People think there's a magical high number when it comes to overclocking. The truth is, you'll never know until you 'get your hands dirty' so to speak. Having said that, the best way is to start by increments. That is, increase very slowly and the game is to test, increase again, test, and so forth before it crashes. If you can achieve stability for let's say 8+ hours, congratulations. Good luck!

Alright, I found the same deal at my local microcenter for the previous board, however it's a returned board still in working condition. I'll think about it. Thanks.
