Water Cool SLI 970s or wait for possible 1080ti and water cool that?

Solution
your probably going to be a good 6+ months minimum out before we even hear news about a possible 1080ti so i would watercool your 2 970's now or leave them air.

no. this is not necessarily true. just because Nvidia claims that by showing you a graph doesnt mean that its true!

they will be able to match their claims no doubt. BUT...they didn't tell you in which scenarios such claims are true...

they can state this...then a month later when the real world benchmarks start rolling in they can say "well we were talking about GPGPU not gaming performance." or they could say "oh we were talking about performance-per-watt, not gaming performance" and that very well may be true. the graph in their presentation was performance per watt....if you looked at it carefully. and i have no doubt that pascal will whip maxwell in performance-per-watt. if it didn't that would be a joke...

I do agree, welcome to modern advertising, even my shampoo is advertised with statistics
