Anyone know if you can simply take out a drive from the My Cloud Mirror and put it in a desktop? Just curious if the PC will read it and you can read/write fine to it.

Hey there, Photosean84.

Basically what @reedo_43 said is correct. My Cloud Mirror does not have an encryption, however if you just take out a drive from a RAID 1 volume, it's more likely for the partitions not to be accessible. You should be able to recover data via data recovery software, but you probably won't be able to just open it like a regular drive from Windows Explorer and manage the files.
On the other hand, if you are asking if you'd be able to use one of the drives from a My Cloud Mirror with a computer, again, just as @reedo_43 said, it's a regular drive and you should have no problem using it as a secondary storage or a main drive with a computer. You'll just have to reformat it.

Hope that helps.
