Ping spikes ONLY with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Hello^^ So i like to play cs:go but have been plagued with the problem of ping spikes. It will happen only with cs:go and its usually every 15-20 mins i'll get a spike in my ping from 30ish to 100+ for 3-5 seconds. Very annoying in a clutch situation. I appreciate any help!

edit: i use wireless for internet with no possibility of hooking up a hard line.

No it does not use the wireless, you plug one adapter to an outlet near your router, hard wire that adapter into the router. Then plug the second adapter...

Unfortunately without the ability to hardwire in it's going to be a bit tough to debug. Do you have the ability to do powerline adapters? I know you said no possibility of hard line but I can't assume to know if that encapsulates the different methods of hard wiring in.

If that is out of the question as well can you tell us what kind of router/adapter you are using?

You just answered your own question. Sadly wireless is still unreliable for consistent play in terms of connectivity due to packet loss, that's just the way it is currently. Your best bet would be to connect with your RJ45 and most people can't do that when they're on the go, at a cafe, etc. Just play in short bursts and when you're home , have at it! Good luck~

If i'm looking at this powerline adapter right it basically plugs into the wall and picks up your wifi signal and you can hardline into that? If that's the case wouldnt i still run into the same problems?

No it does not use the wireless, you plug one adapter to an outlet near your router, hard wire that adapter into the router. Then plug the second adapter into an outlet near your PC and run a cable from the second adapter to your PC. You may be looking at powerline wireless extenders which is not what you want.
