Overclock g skill ripjaws 1600 2x4gb stick

I am new to overclocking but was thinking about doing it to my 8 gb kit of g skill ripjaws. What are safe settings to set them to for max preformance.

My setup.
Asrock 930m pro motherboard

Amd fx 8320 8 core cpu @3.5 ghz

Evga GTX 960 4gb gpu

Evga 500 watt psu

8 gb of g skill ripjaws 1600 (2x4gb sticks)

Is this what you have and want to overclock or are you shopping for DRAM that CAN OC?

OK then, might try manually setting to 1866 10-10-10-27 2N 1.6 and raise the CPU/NB voltage (feeds the MC (memory controller)) to 1.25 and give it a go

There is 1680 and the next option is 1955

That worked. Do I need to do a stress test or anything? Also for the NB voltage there was no 1.25 just 1.24 and 1.26 so I did 1.24

now i am having a problem where when i try to overclock my fx 8320 to 4200mhz it just reverts back to 3500mhz after boot

also every time i turn my pc on it says the system failed to boot several times and then i wait 10 seconds for it to continue boot

Probably need more voltage to the CPU
