when I'm playing games like csgo it only says around 3.5-4gb of my ram is in use while I have 14gb available. is there anyway to uncap it anywhere so I can get max performance? I'm on windows 10 by the way. heres what my task manager looks like while I'm in game. https://i.gyazo.com/4ba79e401abd9ce3e47c98827e00d45b.png

in use usually says 3.3 when in game but it dropped to 3 when I alt-tabbed to screenshot.

Solution
Games are designed to use as much memory as they need. If the game is not using more, chances are it does not need it.

Some games are MUCH more memory intensive and will use much more memory.

Windows 10 can also compress memory, but I do not think it will need to with so little in use.

On the plus side, files on the computer that are used often will be cached into memory. This can have a performance boost when those files are access. You have 2.5 gigabytes caches by the look of things.

EDIT.
In a future update(being tested on insiders first) you will also see how much is compressed.

Looks fine.
The game will use as MUCH as it can up to the point you run out.

If you CLOSE the game, just look at the difference in Task Manager by how much it drops and that will tell you.

*In SKYRIM for example, I tend to max out at roughly 1.75GB of system memory. (i.e. may close and TM shows a drop from 4.75GB to 3GB).

Anyway, I see no indication of a problem.
