Confusion B/w i5 6600k vs i7 4790 for about same price

HI Guys i already own an lga 1150 motherboard(Asus H81 M-D). The price of 4790 is 315 usd. But the skylake i5 is 290 usd. If i got with i7 4790 i can save money for graphics card. But if i upgrade to skylake i costs me extra 250 dollars with no hyperthreading. Also the price diffeence b/w 4790 and 4790k is 85usd.What should i do now?

the newer skylake cpu are only slightly faster then the older haswell. what you get for the newer mb and cpu is a chance to drop in one or two more cpu into the 1151 mb. and use newer ddr4 ram. as long as the old mb and cpu work i would save your money for the gpu and then swap the cpu if needed.

Ok thank you . But i can overclock my pentium g3258 with this.i found that the diff b/w 4790 and 6700k is about 15 to 20 FPS(extra275usd) and 6600k and 4790 is 10FPS avg .(extra 225usd).
