Help guys! When I turned on my laptop today, I feel different, I played some games and it feels laggy than before. It turned out that when I checked the device manager, my AMD is missing.
I checked the "Show hidden devices" on device manager, it shows up, but greyed out. The status is disconnected...? :??:

I tried uninstall the driver and now the AMD never shows up on the device manager o_O;"
Btw, this is HP Pavilion g4-1318tx
Specs :
Intel Core i5-2450M with Intel HD Graphics 3000
AMD Radeon HD 7450M
4GB RAM
more

Thanks,
Smankusors

Right click it - eEmove this device (or uninstall this device) Try this. Then reboot and see if it picks it up.
That definitely sounds weird.

Can you look in the BIOS and check it's not disabled in there.. although if that was the case then Windows wouldn't even see it.

The GPU chip could be fried... unusual and unlucky.

I already uninstalled the driver, and it is gone completely from my laptop, it is not detected anymore on Device Manager ;_;
This happen on yesterday, I restarted my laptop, and it shows up again. But today, not anymore ;_;

Is buying a new laptop is the only choice? :??:

Can you check the BIOS to make sure it is not somehow disabled in there.?
If it IS ENABLED - and it is not showing in device manager, then that is a bad sign!

In device manager, at the very top of the list, you have the 'computer-name-PC'. If you right click on this and search for hardware changes.. windows will attempt to scan for new hardware. If it doesn'T detect it then, well then it looks like the GPU chip is gone.

I think... it is... died, previously I got graphics glitch on my laptop. And the glitch looks like no signal from TV. Weird thoo :??:

well... The truth is... the laptop is not mine, it's my friend's. I think it's dead.
I think there's the way to fix this :
1. Find the donor chip and replace it; or
2. Buy a new laptop
Sorry but I have not heard any news about that laptop since then. :/
