Asus F555L Laptop new ram issues

Hello Everyone, So I've had an Asus F555L laptop for a while now and it came with 4gb of RAM. I have decided to purchase an extra 4gb to make it up to 8gb. The item has now arrived and i have installed it correctly and even watched a youtube video. However everywhere I check (bios, task manager...etc) it says 4gb installed only. I have tried blowing in to the slots in case there is dust and I have also tried various things but still wont work. Any ideas? The RAM that I was told to purchase was DDR3L not regular DDR3 because one is a lower voltage and that was the one that was going to work in my laptop but still issues. Also the RAM was bought off eBay and the feedback seems to be all good so I don't think I got scammed.

Any help will be appreciated!

The RAM I was told to use was DDR3L and the place I bought it from stated that it was DDR3L and apparently regular DDR3 doesnt work with this laptop because of voltages.
