im not going to overclock but will it still work?
should i buy i7 4790 or i7 4790k

I'd say a lot of people would say go for the K version, and I have to agree. You can really milk out your CPU's life by overclocking when it starts to become irrelevant.

yes, but make sure the motherboard bios version is 0505 or higher for the 4790

and version 2001 for the 4790k

either will work, get the 4790 since that board cannot overclock
