Which Processor Is More Powerful?

I'm thinking about getting a game to play on my laptop but I'm not sure if it will run on it or not. The game requirements say that it requires a 2.0 GHz Dual Core processor (2.4 GHz recommended). My laptop has an Intel Core i5-4210U 1.7 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.7 GHz. I'm not really sure what is meant by a "Dual Core Processor". Is that a generic term or is there actually a processor named that?

"Dual Core" means 2 cores, like a pentium, Intel i3, but in your case an i5
Yours is an i5, which ususally has 4 cores, but yours actually has 2 cores and at 2.7 ghz

You can run the game :)

Doom 3 BFG Edition which came out in 2012. I'm mostly interested in the classic Doom portion of the game as opposed to the newer part of it. The laptop has an NVIDIA GeForce 840M with 2 GB Dedicated VRAM, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB SSD. I'm definitely not a hardcore gamer by any means. Just figured it's something to play every once in a while.
