Hi guys,

I'm really bad with pc hardware and i dont know if i should change my gpu. My pc is old and i'm not sure if my cpu will bottleneck. Right now i've got a Phenom II 1100T which work with a XFX Radeon 6870 black Edition, 12gb ram, 750w power supply and an asus motherboard.. I dont want to put 600$ on a gpu but i dont mind around 350. I only play game like dota 2 and other small game but pc minimum requirement always get higher so...

thank you very much !

Your issue will be the CPU as well as the video card, going over the card you have now won't do you much good without a CPU swap also. If you are planning on moving the video card into another system build and are OK with having a CPU bottleneck in demanding games, then wait a bit and see how the prices on the 1xxx series from nVidia turn out. The 1070 may be over $350 but I'd guess whatever is bellow that will hit that mark.

If what you are playing runs fine now, I'd just wait till you find games you want that don't work well on your system and then upgrade.
